Stockholm meeting 2010
Stockholm meeting 2010
On April 15 2010, the Swedish Association of Scientists, together with the Swedish Foundation for Strategic Research and the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences, is organizing its third Stockholm Meeting conference – from Nobel Prize® to commercial use and improved daily life
The aim of the conference is to clarify just how important science is in today’s society and for Sweden’s continued development. With the starting point of lectures by Nobel Laureates, we take you on a journey from research to benefit for society.
This year the main focus is young scientists and the factors that are essential for them to be able to contribute to society and develop into skilful scientist’s.
The discussion will start locally at Sweden’s universities at the following dates:
2nd February, Uppsala
9th February, Lund
16th February, Linköping
23rd February, Umeå
2nd March, Gothenburg.
Although the speech will be held in Swedish an individual discussions group can choose English as working language. Please let us know when you sign up, so that we can take this into account.
It is our hope that this exciting high-quality forum will continue to promote dialogue and the exchange of experiences between new and established researchers, as well as between researchers, politicians and trade and industry.
Scientific research and the discoveries that are made are intended to improve both society and our daily life. We want this conference to be a powerful platform for demonstrating just how much society has to gain from science.
We hope that you will be able to attend!
